Lacey Elliott  / Karma Esthetics Inc. – “How you treat your skin, is how your skin will treat you…”

I have loved makeup since I was a child.  I remember my mom would give me pieces to play with and I would sit for hours trying different things. I would look at magazines for ideas on different looks to try.  And I was ALWAYS buying make up – still do actually.  As an amateur makeup artist I have done bridal makeup for friends and family for years. 

 

After spending 18 years at the same company, getting ready to sell for the 3rd time, I started thinking about my future.  Wouldn’t it be nice to eventually start my own business?  Have something to fall back on?  What would I do though?  It didn’t take me long to realize I wanted to follow my passion.  I started looking into schools to become a licensed makeup artist and found that Palm Beach Academy of Health & Beauty offered everything I needed to make my dream a reality.  What I didn’t realize is that I would grow to love everything related to esthetics not just makeup. 

 

In November, 2015 I graduated and obtained my license as a Facial Specialist.  By January 4th, 2016, my business was up and running.   I have had so many wonderful experiences since becoming a professional, including weddings, beauty pageants, learning special effects makeup, teaching a makeup class at my school, and being involved in the launch of a new reality show, Dr. Miami (airing on WE TV March 31,  2017).  Seeing the faces of my clients after they have had a treatment or a service is the greatest reward.  I am so excited to see what the future has in store for me and my business.

 

Of course none of this would have been possible without the love and support of my family!  And I have to say, I owe so much to my excellent teacher, Ms. Jane Kane.  She not only shared her vast knowledge with us but has given unwavering support long after graduation.
